Buses

Long-distance bus is the most convenient and economic way to travel to Dali. Kunming Western Bus Station(Majie Bus Station) is the only available station to take a long-distance bus to Dali from the capital city in Yunnan. The journey takes about 4 hours and the latest bus to Dali is at eight o'clock in the evening.

There are three bus stations for the long-distance buses, Dali Bus Station, Xiaguan Bus Station and Dayun Bus Station, as well as a dispatching place for passengers' boarding at the old town. 

2. Urban Buses in Dali 

No. 4 bus: Bus Company Stop--South Entrance of old town --North Entrance of old town ticket price: 1.5 yuan for one

No. 8 bus: Railway Station Stop--East Entrance of old town- West Entrance Entrance of old town

ticket price: 1.5 yuan for one

No. 6 bus: Bus Station Stop--Xiaguan Hotel Stop-- Er'hai Lake Dock Stop 

3. Taxis:

The starting taxi fee during the daytime in Dali is 5 yuan and and 1.6 yuan for each subsequent one kilometer. 

The base taxi fee after 10 o'clock in the evening is 6 yuan, and 10 yuan after the midnight.
